As with many parts of the world, in the Pacific Northwest wildfires are a constant concern. For years Swedberg Contracting has been providing crucial resources for government agencies managing wildfires such as United States Forest Service, the Bureau of Land Management, and the Department of Natural Resources. Between providing heavy equipment and operators as well as sending out our roster of qualified tree fallers for the frontlines, we do all we can to aid in the effort to control and contain these threats.
We provide highly experienced loggers to government agencies for fire crews and for building fire lines to shut fires down. These thrill-seeking men join fire crews in two man teams and cut down the trees not just anyone can drop. They also help with the mop up (or post burn clean up) by cutting trees that could hold a dormant fire potential in the areas that have been burnt. By sending in the fallers after a fire, we can help prevent injuries and damage from dead or dying trees falling on their own at the wrong time.
